About Us

Manipal Sharada Public School founded in 2004 under the aegis of Sri Sharada Educational Trust, follows the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and was started as Sri Sharada Vidyalaya. The School now belongs to the fold of the Manipal group.

The School embraces students from all walks of life and variety of different backgrounds. All this is accomplished by working in close partnership with students to develop their full and individual potential for life and work. The School is now promoted by the Manipal group, which is today perceived as the preferred destination for academic excellence and research. Having created a niche as this, the group has today ventured into the field of School education, in order to provide the best in quality and holistic education to children entering the portals of the school. This in turn would also be the contribution of the group towards society and the world at large in the arena of education.

KINDERGARTEN

HOP, SKIP, SING AND LEARN

Entering Kindergarten is an exciting experience for children. It’s their first big step into formal education. We at Manipal Sharada Public School understand that the first years of School are of crucial importance. The Kindergarten sets the tone for the entire schooling years of the child. Beginning with the Playgroup, the child traverses the Nursery, Prep 1 and Prep 2 stages in a challenging but unique way of learning.

The building facility has been designed to offer learning and play opportunities for our children that support and enhance their creativity, discovery, and exploration. The kindergarten centre enfolds a separate play area, with split level sandpit, water play area, puppet theatre and a collection of cartoon films. Indoors, each classroom has toy shelves and racks. Music centres for the Kindergarten have been separately planned out. Above all is the sense of security and consistency that is provided to the child in these formative years.

The curriculum design permits wide scope for children to explore their interests and to promote creativity, curiosity, determination and independence. Self reliance, tolerance and team work would be a part of their learning experience. This we strongly believe would enable them to excel in the 21st century and learn strategies that will serve for a life time.

The curriculum tries to address the individuality of students and does not confine itself to academics. Sports and activities are integrated in the curriculum. The striking feature of the curriculum/ School is the absence of tests/exams up to Grade 4 thus making learning fun. At the same time continuous evaluation and feedback in the learning system has been worked on.

About Us

The objective of the Junior School programme is to help every child appreciate and understand as much as s/he can of the human achievement in the natural sciences, social sciences, humanities and the arts. Focus is on preparation of every child to face the world of rapid change and unforeseeable demands. The teaching and learning methodology being interdisciplinary, the motto behind all this is to ensure maximum growth of each learner.

The curriculum has been exclusively framed for the School. The curriculum enables every child to acquire the basic skills of learning and mastery over them. High academic levels will be maintained right from the lower classes to enable the students to face the challenges of the outside world confidently and competitively.
